I developed this color with the goal being a soft neutral that would be both flattering, and also serve a color to mis and match with my other Smokey Neutrals, thus helping to build a wardrobe of pieces to extend your sleepwear & loungewear wardrobe. Hi everyone! I have been really behind on my blog posts lately....but only because I have been working on SO MANY new introductions for Simple Pleasures! I have been taking new photos almost every day to put on the website. This is my "Photography Studio" which actually was intended as a formal dining room, but has served me especially well for photos. At Simple Pleasures we celebrate every day, and we especially celebrate this time of year! I love autumn and it's as if God is telling us to relax and slow down a bit while we relish the beauty around us. Change can be good and fall reminds us of that. This is the time when I do a personal inventory of all I have to be thankful for as I look back on my life and on the 34 years that Simple Pleasures has been a part of it. Little notes I have written about ideas and goals; messages from customers who have become friends; little treasures of nature that have amazed and inspired me; vintage sewing collectibles that remind me of creative masters that have come before me; and drawers of sweet little assessories and girly things that I myself have made through the years....all of these things inspire and encourage me. Thus I am sharing with you today a few ensembles that resulted from me slowing down a bit from my "normal" routine and just letting the creative juices flow. This is when I do my best work, while thanking God continually for the opportunity to do what I love most....designing, working with beautiful fabrics, and sewing to my heart's content.
