While sipping my morning coffee earlier, I decided to look through some photos that go way back! When I launched Simple Pleasures decades ago, there were some categories that were especially successful……one was camisoles that could be worn as sleepwear but also for daywear alone or under a jacket or sweater. I am considering reintroducing these lovely, feminine pieces….. maybe in black and white. What are your thoughts? I absolutely love designing bed jackets! I think they are such a perfect topper for an elegant nightgown. I feel so special when I step out of a warm bubble bath and into a pretty ensemble comprised of a luscious nightgown and finished with an elegant bed jacket. Fashion history continues to be an ongoing passion of mine. I am always fascinated by the amazing hand-sewn detail present in the specimens that I study. From lingerie to evening wear, intricate stitching and laces were commonly used. It must have taken months to complete many of the pieces. They were truly works of art.
