If it is vintage...and it "inspires"me....then I usually have to stop everything for a few hours and let my creative juices flow! That is what I mean by "I can't help myself!" Do others of you experience that as well? It could involve baking, sewing, crafting... whatever makes your heart sing! For me these are hours of pure joy as I pray aloud thanking God for ideas...for inspiration...for the desire to keep creating, because creating is for me a sacred form of worship.
I collect bridal gowns and headpieces (among numerous other things!) They inspire me to do some very tedious beading as I fashion my own hair clips and assessories for brides. I really have to be "in the mood" to do this kind of work. I have always said that I inherited my patience from my Grandma Swift!
